Thought I shared this list with you guys since my friends wanted me to explain why certain ADs are strong, popular, weak, etc. Don't want it to go to waste by sharing it with only 3 people so yeah here you go! (May not be the best analysis but comment away in the chat to let me know on what to improve on!)
AD Ranking List (Not in any particular order) :
Tier 1 (The popular and strong) - Graves, Corki, Ezreal Tier 2 (Still played alot, decent) - Kog'Maw, Vayne, Sivir, Ashe, Miss Fortune Tier 3 (Less played, still useful) - Varus, Tristana, Caitlyn, Urgot, Kennen Tier 4 (Not viable) - Lulu, Teemo, Twisted Fate, Twitch
Reasonings and my personal thoughts : Tier 1 Champions - These are the all-time favourites, almost every game has one of these three being locked in. These 3 Champions are safe to play and can trade really well in lane. They also have some sort of repositioning skill and their ranges are decent. The overall teamfight AoE is great and their skillset makes them hard to play against overall. With such high damage and safe kit, they're the current strongest AD Champions. They also fit in almost any composition.
Kog'Maw - High trade potential with supports like Nunu, Janna, Soraka. Has to be picked carefully since assassins generally shut him down due to his low survivability (no form of escape). In teamfights Kog is strong since he has a long range and % health damage, but he's difficult to utilize once being stuck onto by an enemy Champion.
Vayne - Her survivability puts her into Tier 2. Overall low survivability makes her play really carefully during early phases of the game. This is compensated by the significant damage she puts on throughout the game. She does have a great repositioning skill and an invis from her ultimate. Difficult to play against high pressure, high burst lanes like a Blitzcrank or Taric.
Sivir - Although she has a spell shield that grants a hefty amount of mana, her range isn't that long and once you start trying to harass with Q, you may automatically push the lane if positioned poorly. Moreover, it's difficult to fully deal out your maximum Q damage as minions can reduce the damage done. However, her ultimate greatly benefits everyone on the team and is a wonderful initiation spell. The interesting thing about Sivir is that she can sometimes be buggy with her Q. For example, it sometimes goes invisible once launched and you can't really position it well not knowing where the boomerang currently is.
Ashe - She has one of the poorest laning phase when compared to other AD Champions. I like the range of her Volley though, and her ultimate is a strong hard initiate spell. But it's difficult to do much against high burst lanes like Blitzcrank or Alistar (similar to Vayne). Thus it's easy to zone out an Ashe.
Miss Fortune - Great AoE ultimate comes to mind when picking MF. Her Q pokes are pretty decent. However, the cost on her E is pretty high. Requires good positioning to pull off a perfect ultimate and this is really difficult to pull off especially when team fights happen very suddenly. Her kit focuses on early game aggression and trades. Weaker than Tier 1 Champions because of her dependence on early game performance. For example, her Q does less and less as the game progresses.
Varus - I've been beginning to see some potential to Varus being a viable AD. His Q poke is strong when fully charged and with 2~3 autohits, you can proc the passive on your Blighted Quiver and the trade usually goes in your favour since the combo dishes out quite a fair bit of damage. His ultimate is also really insane in teamfights since it catches people off really easily, once it hits, you can practically lock down high-priority targets in their position. However he has no form of escapes and during laning you may push the lane when trying to harass with your Q. His passive is pretty strong in teamfights but since he's underplayed, I'm not quite sure about putting him in Tier 2. His overall kit is pretty cool in poke comps but how he performs really depends on matchups.
Tristana - Easy to get ganked because putting points into E means pushing the lane without even trying to. Ultimate is good for dispositioning and her W allows excellent escapes since it can even jump over walls. The thing about Tristana which makes her not so strong is that her mana costs is slightly high in my opinion. And once you turn on your Q you either try harassing/damage towers alot or waste the mana cost.
Caitlyn - Similarly to Sivir, her Q damage is significantly reduced because of minions being able to block some of the damage and it may cause pushing. Her range allows early pokes but she starts falling off slightly later into the game because her ultimate is pretty easy to block and tanks can basically stand in front of high-priority targets. She's good against easily kited Champions. "Why is she weak?" One may wonder. Well, you have to try gaining some early advantage since her performances in later phases of the game are slightly weaker than other ADs. And if you try to play aggresive and get careless, the tables may turn against you.
Urgot - Nerfs hit him hard, or else he would've been in Tier 1 or 2. His early harass is really great and easy to hit. The main reason why he's considered weakened is because of the nerfs on his resistances and he can't go all man-mode onto the opponent team to try and swap someone now since he has to consider whether he's tanky enough to pull it off. Thus the main initiate spell is greatly affected.
Kennen - Good auto-attack animation to micro with. His lightning dash provides an escape if you manage the Energy well. The big reason why he's in Tier 3 is because his stuns are difficult to time correctly. In teamfights you're aiming the nearest Champions since you're trying to survive and sometimes you start aiming different guys and you're stuns start getting messed up. Kennen's early game trades are pretty fun though. Your ultimate is quite an issue. To fully maximise the potential, Kennen has to stand in them iddle of 5 to hit everyone. But being an AD carry you can't do that since you'll get instagibbed. His only AD scaling comes from W. Although he isn't as strong as certain Champions, Kennen is fun to play and if you are familiar with his mechanics, you can dominate some games really hard because his early game harass is strong.
Tier 4 Champions - Just not viable
